Three words: WE. DID. IT. Four years of late nights, hard times, some conflicts, and even two super typhoons. But now, we have walked down the aisle in front of all our loved ones. We are the best class for a reason: our resilience — and most of all, our ability to overcome doubt. We understood that when the doubt and challenges got to us, we could confide in our teachers, friends, and family for support, guidance, and encouragement. Doubt will always be there. It will loom over us as time flies and we go our separate ways. But don’t let it decide who you become. Believe that you can try even harder in college, the workforce, the military, or take up something new and out of your comfort zone. Upholding the glory is all about overcoming the doubt and transforming yourself into someone you truly want to be. I want you all to realize the possibilities moving forward. Don’t let doubts decide your future of upholding the glory.

Every morning over the intercom, we would be sent off to our classes with the phrase, “Create a great day.” After four years of hearing this, I have come to see that these words embody the Class of 2026. We take on each day, face it, and make it great. The Royal experience has built adaptability within our class, and together, we have evolved to create greatness beyond the boundaries of a day. We carry this talent for bringing out the best in everything and from nothing. Through it all, we have created a great legacy that will last for generations here at Notre Dame. They always say, it takes a village. Our village would be all of you before us. Thank you, our hardworking parents, caring relatives, loyal friends, and everyone here for your presence the past four years, as well as the years before and the years after this season of our lives. I thank God, for being constant in this ever-changing world, and for the blessings I will proceed to express my gratitude for.

Today is about recognizing that everything we have done is only possible through the grace of something bigger than ourselves, that the bonds we have made and the experiences we have gained will propel us into a brighter, hopeful future ahead of us. It is, after all, the Jubilee Year of Hope. Now all we need is to take the first step. Together. As classmates. As friends. As family. As Royals.
